Christening Photography at Westminster Cathedral
Westminster Cathedral has to be one of my favourite venues. As a professional Christening photographer, I often visit stunning churches and cathedrals – but Westminster Cathedral still takes my breath away. The sense of occasion arriving at those beautiful steps is remarkable, and the interior is just as beautiful.
Some of the priests here have strict restrictions on which parts of the service can be photographed, while others are happy for more of the service to be documented. That’s part of the reason we’ll also have a pre-session consultation, so we can run through questions to ask the priest to be sure we’re all on the same page.
Getting ready photos before the baptism
The excitement before a christening makes for really special photos, it’s such an important part of the day. When your child looks back on the photos in years to come, it’ll be so meaningful to see their doting grandparents and godparents helping out – and to see all the prep that went into choosing the christening cake, flowers and the gown.
