Headshots For A Consultant

Kate needed headshots both for her business, which provides strategy consultancy for charities and the public sector, as well as for her role as board member for a variety of public boards including a transport focus and the coal authority.

She’s a pragmatic and collaborative person, and I wanted to capture this proactive and helpful side to her in her business photos.

We took some indoor headshots using a pop-up backdrop, as well as environmental shots that reflect the urban nature of her work.

Matching her existing branding, I scouted some brightly coloured locations all within a ten minute drive of each other.

A few outfit changes and location changes mean loads of variety in the photos, so they’ll be useful for a good while coming.

Why Distinctive Photos Matter

In the competitive world of consulting, it’s crucial to stand out. Your expertise goes without saying, but first impressions matter more than ever. When it comes to first impressions, your personal brand photos are the silent salesperson.

  • Instant Connection: Your photo is the first thing people see. It should evoke trust, credibility, and a sense of connection. A generic headshot won’t cut it.
  • Brand Identity: Your image should reflect your brand personality. Are you innovative, traditional, or somewhere in between? Your photo should communicate this instantly.
  • Memorability: People are bombarded with information daily. A distinctive photo helps you stand out and be remembered.
  • Professionalism: A high-quality, professional photo projects an image of competence and success.
  • Social Media: In the age of social media, your profile picture is your digital calling card. A strong photo can boost your online presence and engagement.

Tips for Creating Distinctive Personal Brand Photos

  • Know Your Audience: Consider who you’re trying to reach. Your photo should resonate with your target clientele.
  • Choose the Right Setting: The background should complement your brand. An experienced photographer can suggest locations that are the right fit for your brand.
  • Express Your Personality: Let your photo reflect your unique personality. A genuine smile can go a long way.
  • Invest in a Professional Photographer: A professional photographer can capture your best angles and create images that truly represent you.

Your personal brand photos are a powerful tool in your consulting arsenal. By investing time and effort into creating distinctive images, you’re not just enhancing your appearance; you’re building a stronger, more memorable brand. Remember, your photo is often the first interaction potential clients have with you. Make it count.

Thank you so much for the session yesterday. Some brilliant photos here – it’s going to be tough to choose!”
