Headshots For A Hair & Makeup Artist

Personal branding photographer: hair & make up artist in North London

Kate is a Hair & Makeup Artist, content creator and inspirational speaker – she’s one busy and super creative lady! When I asked why she does what she does, Kate told me that she loves to help people look and feel fantastic, and to empower woman. This really resonates with me, as it’s a big part of what I enjoy about branding photography.

Kate is fun, creative and approachable – qualities that come through in the photos. I love that she’s totally passionate about what she does after 35 years.

First shoot, in 2023

We had such a fun morning taking these branding photos. We booked a studio for an hour, and worked through a few outfit changes and different backdrops.

Outside, we took Kate’s adorable dog for a little stroll. We stopped at some spots that reflect her personality and brand: brightly coloured doorways, wall murals, whatever caught our eye!

I also photographed Kate working with a client – it’s so important to show your business in action. In spare moments, I set up some flat lays with the tools of her trade. This all creates a varied set of images that will keep Kate well stocked with photos for a long time!

Second shoot, in 2024

It’s amazing how much a business can change over the course of a year. Kate’s now something of an influencer, with 30K followers on her Instagram account. She’s got a new look, new hairstyle, and is now working between London and Ibiza. What a lifestyle!

It was a total pleasure taking these shots to celebrate these changes.

The bright yellow from last year’s shoot became part of Kate’s branding palette, so we hunted out some more locations with her trademark yellow. Given her love of colour, we found some vibrant spots that really give a sense of Kate’s character.
