About This Headshot Session
Ally and I took a little stroll from St Dunstan’s in the East (if you haven’t been, you must!) to a few hidden gems – a glass walkway, some stunning foliage on a living wall, and some atmospheric streets. We found an arch which just called out for a few photos – some balance required, but worth it for the photos!
I love looking for spots that reflect a client’s style, and that will make people stop scrolling and take a look.
Whatever industry you’re in, I always suggest including some photos with your tools of the trade. Let your clients see you doing what you do! In this case, as Ally’s a photographer, I included some shots of her with her camera.
Ally is a photographer specialised in personal branding, headshots, commercial and portrait photography. I’m honoured that she traveled into London for this shoot – it was a total pleasure!
I am absolutely blown away by the photos. I honestly don’t know how Louise made me look so good!
She put me totally at ease as soon as we met. The session just felt like a relaxed, enjoyable experience. Louise had some great locations in mind, but was also comfortable in spotting new areas that she thought would work well.
Louise has a calm confidence that makes her an excellent people photographer. She gives gentle direction and encouragement which always felt genuine during the session.
Having a set of varied and fantastic photos has given me so much more confidence to show my face in my business. As a fellow photographer, you’d think this would be easy but we are much more comfortable the other side of the lens!
I would have no hesitation in recommending Louise for headshots and personal branding photography. I hope to work with her again in the future.”

You Are the Brand:
The Importance of Authentic Personal Brand Photos for Photographers
As a photographer, your work speaks volumes, but your personal brand is part of the tool kit that shares it with the world. Your image is more than just a picture; it’s a visual representation of your values, your style, and the experience clients can expect when working with you.
Strong brand images help with:
- Human Connection: People buy from people. Your photo should reflect your personality and create a connection with potential clients.
- Building Trust: Authenticity is key to building trust. A genuine smile and a relaxed demeanour (I can help with this!) can go a long way.
- Defining Your Brand: Your image should align with your brand identity. Are you adventurous, classic, or modern? Your photo should tell that story.
- Attracting Your Ideal Client: By showcasing your personality, you attract clients who resonate with your brand values.
